Awww, shiny~ <3 She doesn't have a name yet, but she's going to be an NPC on my elemental adoption rpg that isn't up and running yet but just so happens to be here~ :3

So today we finally had the maintenance guy come over to check out or oven and a bunch of other shit that needed fixing, and I'd never gotten a real good look at him before, but I'd always see him around in the distance or whatever and I'd always catch him in a certain like and think to myself, "Wtf he looks like Neal." So, needless to say, I was quite excited to have him finally come over. And also, you know, fix out shit. XD

But like, GUYS. He totally DOES look like Neal! In 10-20 years with +30lbs, BUT STILL! He almost has the same teeth, too! IT'S SO WEIRD I WANTED TO GLOMP HIM. But I didn't because that would be, like, weird and stuff. BUT HOLY SHIT OUR MAINTENANCE GUY IS FUTURE!NEAL.

AND APPARENTLY FUTURE!NEAL IS ALLERGIC TO WHEAT! WHO KNEW!! HE DOES, APPARENTLY!

Yeah idefk either. BUT IT'S STILL SO EXCITING.

OH AND LIKE rofls. I remembered BOAR CROC today which, if you don't know, not that I expect you to, is a crocodile that lived bajillions of years ago and is the fucking COOLEST THING TO EVER EVOLVE EVER. And I went out and found the footage of it that I saw on tv last week and made a gif out of it because, guys, like, FUCKING BOAR CROC FUCK YES!!!! Let me show you:

Okay, first off, you guys fail so hard for not knowing anything about feeding pets raw. Luckily for me, however, I managed to switch Wren over anyways. Apparently he got so hungry he was like, fuck it! and started eating the chicken I was setting out for him. Hooray! xD

And although you guys fail, I still have to show this vid. Which really isn't that great because it's so hard to get a video of him playing -- he does it so infrequently and so sporadically for short periods of time. So yeah, that's why it's so short and stuffs. BUT WHATEVAS 'CAUSE HE'S A CABBIT AND HE HAS A RABBIT BUTT AND IT'S SOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUTE.

Dear Flist,

I highly doubt any part of you can help me, but I thought I'd ask anyways. I mean, it would hurt, right? So...

Do any of you feed your pets raw? In particular, your cat(s)?

Like I said, I just adopted Wren the other day, and he refuses to eat anything but kibble. Luckily for me I was able to borrow some from Mom 'cause I refuse to buy anymore of that stuff since I don't want either of my cats to really be eating it, but I don't want to stress him out anymore by not giving him anything to eat...

So, because Wren won't eat any meat, even if it's given as a treat, I sort of have a dilemma. Soooo yeah. Do yous guys have any suggestions as to how I can switch him over? The only thing I've been able to get him to eat is some turkey blood and tiny pieces of sardine that I mixed in with his kibble. I've been mixing in tiny chicken bits with his kibble too, but he just eats around them... All I know is that he definitely is a lucky kitty that he ended up in the humane society because there's no way whatsoever that he'd be able to survive in the wild, lol.

Let me just take a moment to say ZOMG I LOVE COMMUNITY SO MUCH IT'S LOLARIOUS. Been watching the behind the scenes stuff on community_tv and been laughing my ass off -- especially the Halloween preview where Abed dresses as the Dark Knight and Britta is a squirrel! Ahahaha X'D

Lately I've been feeling like I've been listening to the same stuff for way too long, and that all the new music I've found all sounds the same... So I tried listening to radio, but last.fm is gay (I tried listening to the SafetySuit station and they never played any damn SS!), and Yahoo's Launchcast went downhill when I wasn't looking and now is just one huge pile of shit, so! Of course I turned to kcradio.com. Because I'm hardcore like that.

So I listened to that for a while, and then a song came on that I recognized, so I downloaded it and, by chance, a few others by that band. And after looking for a new band to get into, I finally found one I really like~ They've been around for a while though, and I think I've heard the name here and there before... Anybody heard of 'em? I'm talking about Blue October, my newfound love. ♥

Okay, hold up. I know what you're thinking. "Well of course you like this band! The lead singer has black nails, a sexy black MOHAWK, and eyeshadow!" WELL! WELL, SIR, LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING. That is so true. BUT! I listened to them for a solid 5 hours before deciding to look 'em up on the 'tube, so my love is foremost grounded in my love of the music. I've downloaded like 30+ of their songs in the past couple hours and I can't get enough, unf~ <3 Why, might you ask? Well, let's see...

1. Unique Voice! (it sounds inhuman at times; it's so delicious in a morbid way, mmm)
2. Outstanding LYRICS! (also very unique, very poetic, lovely diction, and some of the songs have some beautiful, vividly morbid stories, guh; the pure mastery of the english language set to music is just magical!)
3. VIOLIN/VIOLA! No, really! It's incredibly badass! It adds an elegance to the curdling voice and lyrics, and just a whole new level of uniqueness. Om nom nom.
4. The radio-friendly songs are very soothing, but the rock songs are very fun to jam along to. Not too heavy, not too light~

And yeah the video doesn't sync up, but I couldn't find one that did and still allowed the embedding. >_> but who really cares 'cause THE LEAD SINGER APPLIES EYELINER DURING IT AND YOU KNOW THAT'S ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS IN LIFE. Srsly, it's sort of sad how much of a fangirly fit that made me have. X'D Anyways, on a more serious note, here's some other reasons to love this band:

1. Black nails~
2. Mohawk!!! <333333333
3. A few piercings here and there~
4. Tatts~! Om nom nom
5. Eyeliner/eyshadow! And not just black, either! OMNOMNOMNOMNOM. <3
6. Ok, is it just me or does the lead singer look sliiiiightly like r.star? XDD Idc care either, though, 'cause that just is fuckin' hot as all hell. XDDDD <333333333
7. Ties! Lots of ties! AND sexy-as-all-hell clothes in general! Mmmmmmmmm!
8. VIOLIN! I can't get over how much I love that damn violin/viola, dammit! XD
9. SWEARING!! I LOVE the swearing! I think that's the one real thing that my other bands have been sorely missing for the most part (also: violins). But it's not, like, overpowering or all up in your face; it's just the right amount! Unf! <3
10. Did I mention how FUCKING AMAZING all of their music videos are? I can't embed most of them 'cause of copyright laws, but trust me. omg. Omg. Espesh Into The Ocean because Justin's (lead) eyes with his silverish eyeshadow that unbelievably accent his light eyes is so, so, so drool-worthy, omfg, you don't even know (best eyeshadow I've seen on a guy evers). And for one of their more rock songs, check out Dirt Room; it has a hilarious video too -- well, at least I found it funny (or maybe I just enjoyed Justin being tied up, rofl).


SO YEAH! That's my new favorite band atm. I'd love to hear what you guys think about them. Apparently they've been around for a while and I've just been under a rock, so feel free to properly shun me for my ignorance (why yes, I HAVE been living under a rock for the past however many years!)
